Service Description

Kids ages 7 - 12 enjoy a fun day on the water with our certified water safety team learning the basics of paddleboarding and enjoying some fun in the sun! This introductory camp gives children the opportunity to practice and get comfortable in the water on our boards. Our team will also guide the group through simple water safety exercises, enjoy a beach break with some fun games and a snack break. No previous experience is required, but we do ask that parents only register children who are comfortable in the water. Time: 930am - 1230pm When: July 10 – 14 @ Centennial Beach (Tsawwassen) July 24 – 28 @ Deas Island (Ladner) August 14 - 18 @ Deas Island (Ladner) August 21 - 25 @ Centennial Beach (Tsawwassen) What is PRE-REGISTRATION: Preregistration is a first come first served non-refundable deposit that holds your child's spot until June 15, 2023. Enrolled participants will receive a booking link to complete their registration. The deposit will be applied to your registration fee upon booking. FAQ'S 1. What is the instructor to child ratio: The ratio will be 1 Certified Lifeguard or Paddle Guide per 8 students 2. Any special requirements my child needs? Children must be at least 7 years old - a swimmer certification is not mandatory, but certainly welcome. We’ve left enrollment at the discretion of the parent to determine if their child is comfortable in the water. Previous experience is not required as our team will be guiding the children every step of the way. We simply ask that children are able to independently swim/tread water. 3. Do you provide life jackets? PFD’s/Life Vests; absolutely. These are mandatory at all times near and in the water when using the boards. Each child will be fitted daily by our team, and children will also learn how to properly adjust their PFD for future use. 4. What will the children be doing? This is an Intro to SUPing; children will learn how to use the boards safely and be introduced to basic techniques and practice/familiarize themselves with standing and paddling. Water/beach games, a break for snack and other fun activities are also incorporated throughout the day. 5. Can I register for 1 day or just a couple days? Yes! Check out our single day registration page 6. What does my child need to bring? sunscreen, hat, water and snack, comfortable swim attire. Water shoes are great too! Questions?
